Oceans 11
With an ocean yards from the biology lab door there is always a great opportunity to study the marine life on our doorstep.
Biology 11 students studying the diversity of invertebrate groups are pictured here looking at a variety of life, from sea stars to microscopic plankton.
Ropes leading down from the rowing docks have inverted plant pots that have been inhabited by all manner of sea creatures from anemones to tube worms. Collecting samples becomes a matter of simply pulling up the haul.
