Acting & Drama

Brentwood offers both introductory and advanced drama courses that take students on a journey of technical skill development as well as building their ‘soft skills’ in ensemble work and collaboration without which no truly great performance could happen.

They can start with scene studies and character analyses in Junior Drama, deepen their theatrical technique as well as explore the rich history of theatre in Senior Drama, and perhaps even land a role in the Senior Play!

From advanced character development to the technical subtleties of stage blocking and working with fellow students in Brentwood Theatre Production to get the lighting, props, and mics just right for their performances, Brentwood Senior Play students will find themselves in the performing arts leadership circle throughout the school year. Many remark that this experience is as much about spending time in a loving, creative community as it is about opening night.

Recent productions have included Puffs: Or, Seven Increasingly Eventful Years at a Certain School of Magic and Magic, She Kills Monsters, 7 Stories, and All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten.
