Scientific Drawing
This drawing course offers an innovative interdisciplinary approach, integrating science as a theme and the subject of artistic study—while encouraging visual, literary, and critical thinking. It will offer a structured approach to scientific and observational drawing, bridging the gap for students who are both artistically inclined and also interested in biological and environmental subjects. Students will:
Develop technical drawing skills and artistic expression
Create original artworks based on scientific observation and inquiry
Build visual communication skills using both traditional and digital media
Analyze and interpret historical and contemporary scientific illustrations
Reflect critically on the creative process through sketchbooks and critiques
