Field Hockey
Brentwood Field Hockey has a deep history at the School and is even offered some years as a co-ed spring program. The opportunity to improve your fitness, while developing teamwork and social skills—meeting other new students in the fall term, for example—makes this long-standing competitive sport an exciting choice and oftentimes a sport that players keep coming back to, throughout their lives.

Field Hockey is primarily a girls’ program with the competitive season taking place in the fall. During the spring term, a co-ed option is available for those athletes looking to further enjoy this inclusive sport.
The coaching staff field three teams in the competitive fall term, the First XI Team, Second XI Team, and Development Team (for those players new to the sport). Tournament opportunities include the Ferreira Cup, the Friendship Cup, BC Independent Schools Association Championship Tournament, BC Secondary Provincial Championships, and the Development Tournament. In 2024/25, the girls came 9th in the BC Secondary event.
The Field Hockey Program trains at the turf field located on campus. As well, the team will travel to practice and play games at the nearby Cowichan Sportsplex.
