Brentwood Athletes Represent BC and Alberta at Canada Summer Games

On Saturday, August 15th the Opening Ceremonies for the Canada Summer Games were held in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Front and center of Team BC walking into the stadium were two Brentonians: Will Hindson and Nick Philippson. Will and Nick are both graduates of the Class of 2009 and will be competing for the BC rugby team.

Right behind them were Spencer Crowley and Noah O'Connell (Class of 2007) and current student Eric Jackson (Class of 2010). All three athletes will be competing in the rowing events starting today.

Noah and Spencer will be competing in the pair, straight four, and the eight. Spencer has just returned from the Under 23 World Championships where he finished fifth in the men's eight final. Eric, fresh off his sixth place finish at the Junior World Championships, will be joining Noah and Spencer in the straight four and eight.

Following Team BC into the stadium was Team Alberta. Riley McCrossan (Class of 2010) will be competing in rowing at the Games in the lightweight four and eight.
