Brentwood Celebrates the Official Opening of Crooks Hall
Brentwood faculty, students, and board members celebrated the Official Opening of Crooks Hall on the afternoon of May 14th, 2010. Our Head of School, Mrs. Andrea Pennells, opened the ceremony by welcoming Mr. Art Crooks to the stage to speak on behalf of the Board of Governors. Following Mr. Crooks was Duncan McNeill, for the Duncan and Verda McNeill Centre, Diane Zell, on behalf of the Patrick and Beryl Campbell Trust (Campbell Common), and Connie Wylie, Head prefect, to speak on the behalf of the student body. This ceremony concluded with Art and Mary Jane Crooks and Family taking part in the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony. The scissors were presented by Jacqueline Pigeon, class of 2013 and great niece of Patrick Campbell. We are very proud of our new oceanfront dining room and student services centre built to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) gold standards. We hope to enjoy many meals in this west coast style facility, which is student friendly and environmentally responsible.
