Charity Work Day

This Saturday, March 27th 2010, Brentwood College School will be holding its Annual Charity Work Day. This event has been held every year since 1986. Each student has volunteered a day of labor and members of the Cowichan Valley call and request students to help with simple housework and yard work. In return for a day's labor, the citizens donate an amount to charity equivalent to at least one day of minimum wage for the workers; many contribute far more.We currently donate to over ten different charities, including Mill Bay's CMS Food Bank, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, and Women Against Violence Against Women. All of our students are involved in a particular job; it is a great experience for them and is quite a change from their regular day of sitting in a classroom.  To learn more about Brentwood's commitments to leadership and service, please visit:
