Clothing Swap a Sunny Sunday Success

Sunday, June 9th brought sunny skies, our final brunch together, and the semi-annual Clothing Swap sponsored by students in Environmental Advocacy and the Brentwood Environmental Action Team (BEAT).

Donations from the houses, and even alumni, provided sufficient stock to supply waves of satiated students as they exited Crooks Hall.

Event organizer Cleo K, Allard, ‘25 said “I think the clothing swap was a successful event. It was nice to see people file through and look around, maybe even finding an item or two! I’m very thankful to Grace S, Chloe D, Abby K, Asha S, Layla R, and Nimret S who helped out during their free time; I couldn’t have done it without them.”

With the Clothing Swap in the rearview mirror, the final collective act of Brentwood's environmentally inclined students this school year will be to work hard to ensure that waste sorting goes well in the houses over the final week of school. Given that every student has to pack up all of their possessions, it's no surprise that this is a time of year when careful attention can play a very important role in reducing waste.

Happy summer. Be kind to the earth.
