Senior Tennis Island Champions
On Tuesday, May 7th Brentwood hosted the Senior Tennis Island Tournament. Brentwood faced seven other courageous teams from around the Island all looking to be the champions. Although we all trained very hard for this, only one team could go home with the victory.
Fortunately, just like last year, after a great battle, Brentwood brought the trophy home.
First we played Esquimalt. They were good and we had great matches against them. Although we had a good battle, our outstanding team beat them with great skills. You could see the fear they felt towards Girls Co-Captain Andjela S.
We next played Saint Michaels School. They were good, but with Brentwood athletes like Boys Co-Captain Conrad A at the net the home team earned the win.
Finally, we played Lambrick Park in the final. They had an exceptional tennis team, but the Brentwood lineup was ready for the battle. We witnessed some great games and saw two schools with great athletic level. Although it was close, all the training we have been doing paid off and we earned the Island Championship.
