Midterm Trips

Brentwood offers three midterm break trips during the school year. These trips are intended for our international students and cover a wide range of activities that are designed to provide a West Coast experience. Sign-up for midterm trips takes place after students arrive on campus and information meetings will take place prior to the November, February, and May trips.

November Midterm - Vancouver, BC

Thursday, November 10 - Tuesday, November 15, 2022

Vancouver, BC, Canada (CAD$2,400 quad occupancy)

This year, the November 10-15, 2022 Midterm Trip will be spent exploring beautiful Vancouver, BC. 

Home of the 2010 Winter Olympics, we will visit many attractions and sites that make Vancouver one of the most iconic cities in the world to live and visit. I hope you join us! 

This trip includes all meals, admission fees, ferry fees, transportation, and accommodations.

Preliminary Itinerary - November Midterm - Vancouver, BC

The itinerary is tentative and subject to final confirmation closer to travel.

Day 1 – Thursday, November 10, 2022

Lunch & dinner only

  • Bus transfer from Brentwood College School to Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal

  • BC Ferry walk-on passengers

  • Bus charter to meet the group at Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal

  • Lunch via $10 meal allowance & leisurely afternoon exploring Steveston Village - 5 nights at a moderate 3* hotel in Richmond

  • Bowling & dinner

  • Return to hotel; lights out

Day 2 – Friday, November 11

  • Deluxe continental breakfast at the hotel

  • Depending on group size, we will hire a bus or use public transit today - Morning at Vancouver Aquarium

  • Lunch via $10 meal allowance

  • Afternoon exploring Stanley Park, Robson Street & Gastown

  • Admission to the Lookout Observatory

  • Group dinner

  • Return to hotel; lights out

Day 3 – Saturday, November 12

  • Deluxe continental breakfast at the hotel - Bus transfers today

  • Morning at Kitsilano Beach

  • Lunch via $10 meal allowance

  • Walk to HR MacMillan Space Centre & Planetarium for an afternoon exploring - Exploring and $20 meal allowance for dinner – Granville Island

  • Tickets to Theatre Sports Improv

  • Return to hotel; lights out

Day 4 – Sunday, November 13

  • Deluxe continental breakfast at the hotel

  • Depending on group size, we will hire a bus or use public transit today

  • FlyOver Canada

  • Walk-on Seabus to North Vancouver

  • Lunch via $10 meal allowance and time to explore Lower Lonsdale Quay and Shipyard - Bus to Capilano Bridge for afternoon

  • Group dinner

  • Return to hotel; lights out

Day 5 – Monday, November 14

  • Deluxe continental breakfast at the hotel

  • Depending on group size, we will hire a bus or use public transit today - Guided walking tour – Murals of Vancouver

  • Lunch via $10 meal allowance and afternoon shopping in the local area - Richmond Oval – tour, ROX Museum & ping-pong or dodge ball game

  • Group dinner

  • Return to hotel; lights out

Day 6 – Tuesday, November 15

Breakfast & lunch only

  • Deluxe continental breakfast at the hotel - Check-out of hotel and board bus

  • Depart for Tsawwassen Ferry Terminal

  • BC Ferry walk-on passengers

  • Ferry to Swartz Bay

  • Lunch via $10 meal allowance

  • Arrive at Vancouver Island; board bus and depart for Brentwood College School

  • On arrival, collect your belongings and depart for your Boarding House

February Midterm - Big White Ski & Snowboard Trip

Thursday, February 9 - Tuesday, February 14, 2023

Big White, BC, Canada (CAD$2,370)

This year, the February 9-14, 2023 Midterm Trip will be spent skiing, riding and exploring beautiful Big White, BC. 

Located 56km from Kelowna, BC, Big White is a Canadian-owned-and-operated ski resort that opened in 1963 with only 1 T-bar lift, and is now a world-famous ski resort. With an average annual snowfall of 750 cm (24.5 ft), Big White is hailed as, “Canada's largest ski-in ski-out resort village”, where guests can ski to their doorstep or stroll through the village, shopping and dining in world-class restaurants and pubs. Big White provides everything you will need for a great vacation, all within walking distance of your accommodation.

Commitment and full payment are due no later than December 5, 2022. 

Price includes return airfare, motorcoach airport transfers, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, accommodation, a 4-day lift ticket, 1x group ice-skating rental, 1x group tubing, and applicable taxes. Once paid, your commitment is non-refundable.

Lessons and other activities are not included and will be added to the tour price.

May Midterm - Central Vancouver Island Tour

Thursday, May 18 - Tuesday, May 23, 2023
Nanaimo & Parksville, BC, Canada

On this trip, students will shop, explore and play in central Vancouver Island.

We will spend 2 nights in Nanaimo, BC & 3 nights in Parksville, BC., experience many activities such as beach walks, whale watching, Butterfly World, laser tag, go-karts, mini-golf, and more! We’ll also have time for shopping at the unique stores in Nanaimo, Combs, Parksville and Ladysmith.

This trip includes all meals, admissions to attractions, transportation, and accommodations.

Commitment and full payment are due no later than May 10, 2023.

Thursday, May 18

  • Meet Mrs. Eisnor at Crooks Hall loading bay, and together we will board the motorcoach.

  • Depart for Cowichan Bay, BC.

  • Time for exploring, shopping and lunch.

  • Whale Watching Adventure; approx. 4hrs (parent waiver required).

  • Dinner in the local area.

  • Depart for Nanaimo.

  • Overnight (2 nights) in Nanaimo, BC at a moderate hotel (3-4 star).

Friday, May 19

  • Breakfast in/around the hotel.

  • Morning to explore and shop in downtown Nanaimo. 

  • Nanaimo WildPlay! Choice of Adventure Classic Course, Zipline, Axe Throwing (parent waivers required). It may be possible to also include the Primal Swing or Bungie Jump (approx. $150 more; parent consent and waiver required).

  • Bowling & Dinner. 

  • Overnight in Nanaimo, BC.

Saturday, May 20

  • Breakfast in/around the hotel.

  • Check-out of the hotel; board coach.

  • Woodgrove Centre for shopping, lunch & matinee movie (subject to availability).

  • Depart for Parksville, BC.

  • Overnight (3 nights) in Parksville, BC at a moderate hotel (3-4 star).

  • Dinner at the resort or in the local area.

  • Evening beach walk as a group along the world-famous Parksville Beach! 

Sunday, May 21

  • Breakfast in/around the hotel.

  • Shopping, lunch and exploring Coombs, BC, including Goats on the Roof! 

  • Group visit to the North Island Recovery Centre.

  • Go-Karting & Laser Tag.

  • Dinner in local area or at resort.

  • Overnight in Parksville, BC.

Monday, May 22

  • Breakfast in/around the hotel.

  • Shopping, lunch and exploring Parksville, BC. 

  • Group visit to Butterfly World and Hamilton Hobby Farm.

  • Mini-Golf & Bumper Cars.

  • Dinner in local area or at resort.

  • Overnight in Parksville, BC.

Tuesday, May 23

  • Breakfast in/around the hotel.

  • Check-out of the hotel; board coach.

  • Depart for Ladysmith, BC.

  • Shopping, lunch and exploring Ladysmith, BC.

  • Arrive at Brentwood College School; Crooks Hall loading bay.

  • Say goodbye to your driver and Mrs. Eisnor; return to your Boarding House.
