Full Swing at ISAs
Last weekend the Junior A & Senior B Field Hockey teams headed to Shawinigan for the ISA championships. The Senior B team, with only a few veterans, started the year not knowing each other, but managed to play well. The Junior A team, with lots of returning students, started the year powerfully, as the new students blended well, learning from the veterans.
The Senior B team played against the Brentwood Junior A’s, Collingwood, and Shawnigan. Although more than half the team was new, they developed more skills and won their last game against Shawnigan as Aisling Entwistle? took a hard swing against the goalie.
The Junior A team started strong as they played against the Senior A team, Shawnigan, & Crofton House. They finished won one game and lost the others by one goal margins, finishing 4th.
Both teams gained great experience from these games, acquiring more skills and working with each other to become stronger teams. Awesome work to both teams. “Be aggressive” as Ms. Whitney always tells us.
