The Silver Duke
On Saturday, November 17th, Toby D, Rogers ’13, received his Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award at Government House in Victoria. He was presented his certificate by BC’s new Lieutenant Governor, Judith Guichon.
Toby is presently working on his Gold Award which he plans to complete by the end of the school year. Gold recipients receive their award from a member of the British Royal family at a special Gold Duke of Edinburgh Ceremony held in Canada.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award was founded by Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, to encourage personal development and community involvement for young people.
