Trinity Western Tournament
It was a busy weekend of volleyball for the Senior Girls who played 5 matches and came away with a record of 3 wins, 1 loss and one split. With 48 of the province’s top teams competing, the Brentwood girls treated family and friends who made the trip to Langley to some superb volleyball.
In a critical, early round playoff match Saturday morning, to determine the tournaments’ top 16 teams, the girls lost to a tall and very athletic Penticton team 12-25, 20-25. The girls were able to rebound from this loss and went on to handily win their final match against Centennial 25-11, 25-15 to finish 17th.
The entire team is to be congratulated on a highly successful and entertaining weekend! Special shout out to Karlien LR, Emily Y and Spencer M for a great weekend on the court.
Next up for the girls is a match against #3 provincially ranked Cedar at Brentwood’s Woodward Sportsplex Tuesday Oct. 9 at 4:30 pm. Following that, the girls will co-host the 16-team Brentwood/Kelsey Classic Tournament being held at Brentwood and Frances Kelsey School Oct 12/13.
