Senior B Volleyball 1
It has been a passion-driven season for the Senior B Volleyball girls, from the moment we first stepped onto the court for our first practice to our very last game. Throughout the season, we have grown closer as a team, learning from each other’s strengths, and helping boost each other’s weaknesses. Within a short period of time, we have become a team, melding old and new girls into one family. Facing many other challenging teams, the Senior B girls have risen to every competition put in front of them, never backing down and always trying their hardest. There was clear improvement as the season went on, as we built our skills and strategies as a team. We celebrated our wins and learned from our losses, bringing even more to our next game. With no assigned Captain, there was leadership shown from many members of our team, during practices and at games. Many of us got the chance to take on the role as Captain at our games and tournament; the different Captains learned their responsibilities quickly, getting the experience of leading their team alongside our supportive coaches, Ms Marquessa Mackenzie and Ms Mariya Young. The girls on our team were very thankful to be able to play in the numerous games against other high school teams, and participate in a Cowichan Valley tournament. It was definitely a highlight of our season to be able to step off the court knowing we put our all into the games we played, and having some wins under our belt. None of this amazing season would have been possible without all the support we had from our coaches, our teammates, and everyone in the Brentwood Family. We were able to accomplish so much and acquire many skills to bring forward. Those on the Senior B team who are graduating, wish next year’s team the best of luck!
