Brentwood Regatta — Best Ever!

The Brentwood Regatta ended today ahead of schedule and ahead of the rain. It was an amazing event and, for the 1640 athletes, many memories will be taken home and remembered for a long time. The Brentwood College Rowing Club had many successes over the weekend including four gold medals in the Jr. B Girls Coxed four and quad and the Jr. B Boys 8+ and novice 8+. Overall, the Club finished fifth behind the large clubs from Washington and Victoria City Rowing Club. The boys finished 3rd and the girls 6th in their respective divisions. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the parents and volunteers for making this event the best ever. Next week, the senior crews will be travelling to Seattle to compete in the prestigious Opening Day Regatta in front of over 200,000 people. The next regatta for the entire club will be in two weeks when we compete in the Shawnigan Lake Regatta.
