Sunday Evening Campfire

Sunday Evening Campfire

5 October 2022Jim Ganley

Last Sunday evening Brentwood’s Environmental Action Team (The BEAT) hosted their first event of the year, a beach campfire in the twilight hours overlooking Mill Bay. Sean Spicer estimated the crowd to be “Several thousand”, but Mr. Ganley thought the number was closer to 150.

Hot chocolate, s’mores, cheerful companionship and bioluminescence were all in abundance as  BEAT Captain Sophie H, Mack ‘23 maintained a crackling fire, a steady supply of marshmallow cooking sticks, and her characteristic good cheer.

In the coming weeks BEAT will focus on reducing food waste, streaming our in-house recycling, and a hike up Cobble Hill Mountain.

The BEAT goes on!
