Junior B Volleyball
Junior B volleyball got off to a challenging start to our season by losing our first game. After that loss, we found our rhythm and became known as the comeback team as we would often win the match after losing our first set. Our team then became consistent and resilient, and our teamwork improved immensely throughout the games which led us to get to the final in our Junior B ISAs.
It was a tight and intense match between Brentwood and GNS, in the first set we were losing 20-24 but we incredibly came back and won the set 26-24 which showed determination and grit in all the players. Although we did end up losing in the final it still showed us how much we improved throughout the term and how far our team has come since the start of the season. This achievement proved our team’s tremendous hard work and commitment paid off.
The final tournament was the CVIAA (Central Vancouver Island Athletic Association) Championships. The comeback team certainly displayed their courage, grit and teamwork as they competed. This tenacity resulted in victory as they won the championship, bringing home the coveted banner after a close final against one of the other Brentwood teams.
This season was remarkable, and the team should be proud of their efforts.
