Regatta Preparations Underway

This weekend, Brentwood will be welcoming over 1500 athletes to our 39th annual International Regatta. Student entrepreneurial teams will be selling food and beverages on the main plaza and live entertainment will be provided throughout the weekend. At 2 p.m. on Saturday (25th April), we will be christening a new shell for the Lightweights, to be named in honour of rowing coach John Queen. A number of John’s rowers and students are returning to be part of this important recognition. Several of them have made this possible by establishing the John L. Queen Boat Fund. The interest from the fund, together with the resale value of the boat, will purchase a replacement shell for the Lightweight crew every three years.
