On Saturday the Girls Rugby team beat Shawnigan 29-5 to win the Island AA title for the first time since 2009. Strong forward play and tough defense laid the groundwork for the win. Tries by Nambi M, Tyler C, Emma F and Lauren A (2), along with 2 converts from Lauren, accounted for the scoring.

The girls are looking forward to competing in the BC Provincial Championships in 2 weeks in North Vancouver.
