A Sunday Adventure

Last Sunday, more than 400 students boarded buses with their Houses to venture down-island to beautiful Victoria., BC’s capital city.

In search of a day of shopping and an escape from familiar territory, Brentwood students descended upon Victoria with anticipation and delight. Upon arrival, we dispersed among the copious stores and vendors for a day of fun. Popular undertakings consisted of visiting the Bay Centre, checking out some local retailers, dining in decadence at various restaurants and buying new clothes, accessories and decorations for our dorms.

Be it for the tantalizing promise of fresh Inner Habour air, or the opportunity to explore unfamiliar territory, the Vic trip is a much-loved autumn event. As we prepared to return to campus, many “oohs and ahs” were heard among friends as we ogled over each other’s new purchases.

By the time we arrived back in Mill Bay 40 minutes later, we dismounted the buses amid familiar groans about homework and eagerly awaited dinner and a good night’s sleep before the busy Brentwood schedule resumed on Monday morning.
