On October 14th Brentwood hosted the Argentinian National Rugby Team which is currently competing in the Americas Rugby Championships held in Victoria. Argentina won its opener against the United States 36-3 on Friday.

The team started the day off with video analysis in the McNeill Center, then had two separate training sessions on Gillespie field, followed by a cold dip in the ocean (our version of an ice bath).  To top off their day, the Food Services Staff put on a delicious and filling lunch which allowed the team to leave with “full tummies and big smiles”. Our visitors showed their appreciation by leaving behind Jaguar lapel pins.

Despite the rain, many students and faculty members stood on the sideline watching the impressive size and skill of the Argentinian team. We wish them luck against Uruguay on Tuesday and many dropped balls against Canada on Saturday. 😉
