Junior Tennis Off to a Fast Start

The sun was shining but the wind was gusting as the Junior Tennis team travelled to Shawnigan for a match. The bus was quiet on the ride over as many players were about to play their first competitive match representing Brentwood.
They need not have worried. Although the wind made for challenging playing conditions, the juniors handled it like pros. The girls team of Joh H, Isabel RG, Natalie L, Tamara F, Mariam G, Katlan S, Sophia C & Cindy Z battled both females and males to produce a winning record.
The boys’ team of Santiago G, Inigo O, Matt F, Ray L, Tu L & Jeronimo P competed just as strongly. When the dust settled, the junior teams had won 13 of the 18 matches played.
We look forward to our next competitive matches at the upcoming ISA tournament.
