Exploring Women’s Literature

On Wednesday, May 8th Lindsay B-E, Alex ‘14 attended the Victoria Lady Gyro Social Club’s annual dinner. This year’s theme was “Women in Literature.” Brentwood alumnae Laurie (Rutherford) Pederson, Alex ’73 was the main organizer of the event and she contacted Brentwood and SMUS seeking a promising female writer to present a piece of her work. English Department Head, Mr. Paul Collis, was asked to provide a candidate. Knowing Lindsay had extraordinary writing skills, Mr. Collis selected her. Lindsay, along with a writer from SMUS, presented their pieces to the dinner audience and they definitely represented their schools beautifully.
