A Beach Full of Thanks

The SAC Beach Party/Dance Committee would like to thank the Brentwood student body for their financial support and enthusiastic participation on Saturday. Ninety percent of the student body contributed $7.00 each to the Mosqoy charity for a total of $2280. We raised enough money to pay the tuition of our two Peruvian college students, Elizabeth Jaimes and Elmercito, for another year. They will graduate soon and use their education to help their mountainous communities and families. We also thank the Maintenance Department, especially Ric Stewart, and the dining room staff for their essential help with SAC social events all year. I would also like to thank Toby D, Rogers ‘13 for his leadership and our hardworking committees who planned and hosted many special dinners (Mexican, Chinese, American Thanksgiving, Japanese), dances (Welcome Back, Hallowe’en, Beach Day), Java Hut, and our International Charity events (We Day, Day of Silence, Zambia and Mosqoy).
