Hockey Wins Season Opener

The Brentwood Senior Hockey team kicked off their season with a victory over Frances Kelsey Secondary School at the Kerry Park Arena on Tuesday afternoon. As it was the first game of the season, there were many anxious players and coaches but after a spirited warm up, the Brentwood team got on the score sheet early with a goal from Jarl W just 34 seconds into the game and the team never looked back. Jarl added another in the first period as the team went on to win with a final score of 6 to 3. Other goal scorers with one goal each were Brandon B, Kai L, Hugh F, and Keaton A. Andrew C back stopped the victory in goal and showed well in his first Brentwood game. Other new players to Brentwood Hockey this season were Brooklyn N, Thomas H-L, Garrison C, Thomas H, Johnny M, & Wyatt T. It is always good to win, but the team also recognized a number of areas that need attention and we will work hard to improve in these areas in the future. The senior team will be travelling to the Fuller Lake Arena on Wednesday December 4th to take on defending league champions Cowichan Secondary School. Game time is 1:40pm.
