BCRC Brings Home the Gold

Led by the Senior Women’s Double of Claire V and Deidre H, which captured the Gold medal at the recent Canadian Secondary Schools Rowing Association Championships in St. Catharines, Brentwood oarsmen and oarswomen earned five hard-fought medals. Claire also earned a Bronze in the Senior Women’s Single.
In senior men’s races the boys captured silver medals in the Senior 8+ and Senior 4+ and a bronze in the 72kg 4+. The junior boys, not to be outdone, also rowed to a Silver medal in the Junior 8+.
Anastasia K and Stephanie T, two Grade 11s, placed 4th in the Senior Women’s Pair as did the Junior Boys’ 4+ and Tom L in the 1X. Paiton B and Michael L were fifth in the Senior 72kg Pair.
Claire, Lance B and Martin B remained in Ontario to attend the Canadian Rowing Associations Junior National team selection camp.
