The Brentwood Environmental Action Team (BEAT) is hosting a unique dinner party to educate their community about local and global food issues. With a minimum $10 dollar donation, your ticket will entitle you to dinner, dessert, and festive entertainment. Why is this dinner so unique? 15% of the tickets sold will receive a gourmet meal, 25% of the tickets sold will receive rice, beans, and tea. 60% of the tickets sold will receive rice and water. The percentages demonstrate the inequitable distribution of food and resources in today’s world. Despite the fact that enough food is produced to feed twice the world’s population, more than 842 million people are chronically hungry. Tickets are available at reception. Please call 250-743-5521. Doors open at 6:00pm. Dinner is served at 6:30pm. The entertainment is provided by the Brentwood Jazz Choir and Malaika Marimba.
