Camp Thunderbird

For the first three days of school on September third, fourth and fifth, the Grade 8s and their teachers, Mr Stevens and Ms Ramundi, all went camping. We went to Camp Thunderbird for our three-day trip. Throughout the trip, we participated in activities such as hiking, team building, rock climbing, archery, tag, manhunt and finally the most memorable, canoeing.

We have all agreed that canoeing was the most memorable due to Ms. Rumundi starting a huge water fight. The water fight led to three boats capsizing – one twice. Mr. Stevens and Ms. Rumundi’s boat went over – and she deserved it for starting it all. And we all laugh when remembering it to this day.

The trip helped us all connect as a class and made starting the year fun and exciting. It was a great experience that we will always remember.
