Clothing Swap & Eco-Gift Wrapping

For the second consecutive year, the students of BEAT and Environmental Advocacy hosted a clothing Swap and Eco-Gift Wrapping event in McNeill’s on Sunday.

After collecting lightly used clothing from the houses, the team displayed and shared these repurposed gifts with the school community as it exited Sunday Brunch.

“Don’t tell my daughter, but I just picked up her Christmas gift” enthused Mr Ganley. “She’ll get tons of use out of this – and it won’t end up in the landfill.”

Using only previously-used gift bags, the Eco-Gift Wrapping is well-timed because it coincides with the Secret Santa traditions occurring in the houses. It will also be offered, for last-minute gift givers, TODAY, December 12th between 2:30 and 4:30 in McNeill’s.

BEAT and EA encourage all members of the Brentwood Community to consider the environmental impact of their holiday shopping. After all, the Holidays are about presence, not presents.
