Farewell and Best Wishes to Mr. Campbell

As the year closes, we bid farewell to Mr. Campbell, our beloved mathematics and robotics teacher, who will be transitioning to Glenlyon Norfolk School next September. After two fruitful years at Brentwood which have been “an absolute pleasure,” he is moving on to a new chapter in his career. During the years he spent at Brentwood, Mr. Campbell came to love the tight-knit school community and supportive student environment. He loves the fact that teachers are always around to help students, and that teaching at the school is much more than a nine-to-five job. He has certainly proved this himself with his commitment to the popular after-school robotics team. With his support, teams from the fledgeling program have gone on to place at provincials this year, an impressive achievement for this recent elective. At Glenlyon Norfolk School, Mr. Campbell will assume his role as the school’s Senior Educational Technologist. In this position, he will help teachers from all subjects integrate technology into classrooms and assist with the school’s strategic plan. He will also teach physics for one block, allowing him to continue his passion for classroom instruction. He looks forward to shortening his commute from a forty-minute drive from Victoria to a twenty-minute walk, and spending some quality time on Saturdays with his fiancé. As a Pre-Calculus 12 student in Mr. Campbell’s class and a former robotics team member, I have come to appreciate his wide knowledge base and experience in engineering applications for math concepts. He has kept us on our toes with challenging problems and interesting anecdotes. We will miss Mr. Campbell’s impactful presence at the school.
