Jen Maclean, Brentwood ’97, distinguished herself in the Comox Valley Half Marathon last week. MacLean, a triathlete who has competed on the World Cup circuit, won the women’s race in a time of 1:21:43, three seconds ahead of the silver medalist. The men’s race was won by her friend and fellow triathlete, Sydney Olympic Gold medalist Simon Whitfield. Judging by his spritely gait around campus, Jen’s father, Brentwood Social Studies and Art History teacher Rob Maclean, hasn’t lost a step either.
