Following in the footsteps of many Brentwood teams before them, the 2017 Senior A Girls Volleyball team placed first at the Island Championships this past weekend. A dominant force in pool play, they had a steady path to the final. Finishing first in their pool sent them straight to the semi-final on Saturday, where they would beat the host team, John Barsby, for a berth to Provincials and a spot in the championship match. The afternoon concluded with another convincing win, a three set sweep in the best of five match against Pacific Christian. Outside hitter Camryn C, middle/rightside Alex T, and setter Linnea B all won All-Star awards, and Captain Linnea was also named tournament MVP. Brentwood finished the tournament with another Island title under their belts, and a hunger to win at Provincials in Vanderhoof.
