Law 12, taught by Mr. Bryant, is a course that helps students explore different types of law throughout the year, including criminal, family, and contract law. The class is taught in a style that allows students to discuss, reflect, and bring forth their own ideas in relation to the topics being presented. Although the class is very enjoyable and teaches students the smallest things such as how to effectively sue a company for a stubbed toe, it allows everyone to express themselves based on the many open-ended topics that are discussed in class. Lulu J, Allard ‘19 reflected, “Law with Mr. Bryant is like story time with your teacher: you start with the book, and end up talking about life and politics.” Law 12 requires everyone to strive for their best efforts with journals, tests, mock trials, and assignments. The journals that are completed each week broaden the knowledge from outside the classroom with real world events, but in the end it is Mr. Bryant and his passion for the subject that makes the class really engaging and gratifying.
