Brentwood livestreams are viewed by parents across the world. This gives them the chance to never miss a moment of their child’s sports accomplishments. This is brought to you by Brentwood’s Media Production team. Fearlessly lead by Mr. Minkler, students from Grades 9-12 film and edit videos as part of their art program, but they also participate outside of class time filming for livestreams, where events that will be posted to Brentwood’s Youtube page: https://www.youtube.com/user/brentwoodcollege Huge amounts of time and effort goes into this underappreciated art, which is more often than not overlooked. In Media Pro, however, students keep working to produce, unknown, and underappreciated. This has been a busy year for the Media Pro crew, working hard livestreaming events like junior and senior basketball, rugby games, specialty events such as Brentwood TedX, or school assemblies. During this weekend’s Brentwood Regatta, the team will be livestreaming 24 hours of racing of the international event. These are livestreamed in the bleachers, on cranes, and from the top of the Ross Buildings. You don’t just get livestream events hours: they are earned. As a beginner you must complete one video every three weeks. You’re given criteria, a camera, and the freedom to create. These videos are your training ground to have your work put onto the Brentwood stage. Each of these videos are carefully evaluated by Mr. Minkler, and advice and criticism is given.
