Ms. Lorraine Blake, Brentwood’s very own instructor of dance and choreography, has recently returned from a fortnight in London where she updated her examiner’s certificate from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing. This qualification enables her to examine tap, jazz and modern dance for the society across North America and around the world. In a class of 200, Ms Blake was one of only nine examiners certified from outside Britain. The trip also allowed Lorraine to take in a showing of The Phantom of the Opera at London’s Her Majesty’s Theatre. Ms Blake took copious notes in preparation of choreographing The Phantom, Brentwood’s musical this year. The show will run in the G.T. Bunch Centre’s Killy Theatre from March 8-12.
