Siôn G, Ellis ‘18 threw a new PB of 59.02m in javelin and brought home a Bronze medal from Legion Nationals at Brandon, Manitoba. Siôn was in 6th place going into the final three throws. On his 6th and final throw he threw his PB which launched him into 1st place. In the end the last two throwers threw over 60m which gave Siôn the Bronze. Team BC took Gold and Bronze. Siôn surprised his coaches and his teammates with his incredible throw using only 2 crossovers with his braced knee. Tony E entered as an independent representing the Cowichan Valley Athletic Club. He came 10th in High Jump at 1.65m and 6th, with a PB of 14.13m, in Shot Put. His highlight was running with other BC athletes in the Midget 4x100m relay which earned him a Silver Medal at Nationals!
