Privett House, the birthplace of bad jokes and even worse decisions. Privett is not just a boarding house but rather a home, full of boys bonded not by blood but love. This is what sets it apart from the other houses, what makes it so special. Whether it’s late-night pool, shower parties, getting yelled at by Branch, or pranks on Dorm 8, the Blue Halls turn these boys from friends into brothers. The house is constantly changing, boys come and go, yet one thing always remains constant: Privett House is the best house.

RJ and Wolinsky are the core of the house, leading us with humour, humility and only occasional crashouts. Without them, the walls crumble. For this, we cannot say thank you enough.

This year in Privett has been an interesting one. The old regime is gone, the power structure has shifted, and the boys feel closer than ever. Whether playing spikeball on the field, games in the common room or getting annoyed by Tolani, all the boys were experiencing life at Brentwood together.

The 9s were cute, cuddly, and incredibly annoying. Characteristics seen throughout eons of Privett 9s. The world is their oyster, and these little boys will soon become great men. The house would not be the same, for better or worse, without the loud and rambunctious 10s. The bridge between the young and old, they connect the boys together. A large and tight group of 11s are the backbone of the house. The ying to the 12s yang. I couldn’t be more comfortable handing off the reins to these boys.

Privett has a bright future and has had a glorious past, but the loss of this group of 12s will be felt forever. My best friends and brothers, I can’t imagine life at Brentwood without them. They are the defining characteristics of what makes Privett House so special: kindness, toughness, charisma and intermittent intelligence that perfectly encapsulate Pride, Brotherhood, and Trust. I love you boys. Thank you for making Privett my home now and forever.
