Rugby: makeshift senior team defeats Welsh tourists.

A team comprised of players from cross country, tennis, basketball and soccer, with fifteen minutes of preparation, upset a confident Cyfarthfa High School from Wales on Tuesday. It looked like it would be a long day for the Brentwood team as the visitors scored soon after the kick-off; however, they dug in and applied good defensive pressure for the balance of the game. It was an evenly fought battle with three trys each. The difference came from the boot of Andre Coquillard who converted the final try from the touchline for Brentwood. Cyfarthfa scored on the final whistle but failed to convert handing Brentwood a 21-19 victory.
