Senior Soccer Triples Kelsey

The Senior Girls Soccer team played their second game on Tuesday March 8th against their local rivals, Kelsey. It was a beautiful day for a soccer match and the girls fought hard for their win. They battled right from the whistle and were able to pull off a goal within the ?rst 25 minutes. Sarah L crossed the ball into the box allowing Katlan S to follow up right at the net and tap it in. Kelsey came back late in the ?rst half to tie the game up at 1-1. Half time was a bit of wakeup call for the girls as they started to fatigue. They pulled up their socks, however, and played a solid 45 minutes of soccer in the second half. Sarah L played a ball back to Kaela S 15 minutes into the second half; she kicked a beautiful ball over Kelsey’s goalie into the net. To ?nish the game, Cate B took an astonishing strike at the ball from the left half of the ?eld and hit the net in the top right corner scoring a spectacular third goal for the girls. This was a great way to end term 2 and prepare for the spring season. Sarah L, Mackenzie ‘16
