The Birthday Bunch

The Birthday Bunch

While November 26 at Brentwood was, most notably, host to our American Thanksgiving Dinner, it was also home to a total of five birthdays throughout the school community. Teachers Mrs Ameil, Mr Griffiths, and Mrs Reynolds, along with students Sophia PT, Alexandra ‘22, and I are all a part of Brentwood’s so called November 26th Birthday Bunch.

The Thursday morning began with Mrs Reynolds making rounds to our classrooms to deliver us balloons and a delicious piece of milk chocolate. She then informed everyone that we would have the opportunity to get all of our pictures taken for Brentwood’s social media. We all agreed, and, after Assembly, the group met on Campbell Common for the photoshoot.

As the day went on, all of us continued vibing with the birthday mood by finishing off our last few classes and then afternoon sport. A good time was had by all with Sophia saying “It is so cool to see how Brentwood embraces special events such as birthdays which really makes for a very enjoyable time.” The organizer of this spectacular day, Mrs Reynolds, had this to say: “ Presents! Polka Dot Balloons! And a gaggle of birthday loving Saggitarians! This is why November 26 is such an awesome day”.

School days are not always this much fun, but days like this really make people appreciate just how special the Brentwood experience is. Memories like this will definitely be cherished by all as birthdays call for celebrations and with the COVID 19 pandemic that everyone is fighting through, it is extremely nice to know that people still show lots of care and support for one another despite not being in the formal setting of a social gathering with friends.

This birthday was special and I’d like to thank Mrs Reynolds and everyone else in the so-called “Birthday Bunch” for the spectacular celebration.
