Senior Girls Basketball 1

In another hoops-filled weekend, the Senior Girls Basketball team travelled to Victoria for the Police Tournament. We faced one of the island’s toughest teams right off the bat, Pacific Christian School. Although we led in the first quarter, we fell 72-42. Up next was Wellington. Again we had a strong start, but couldn’t hold onto the lead, as we lost in a 51-49 heartbreaker.

This loss (and the fact that we didn’t want to play at 8:30am the next day) fuelled our fires as we victoriously took on our next opponent, Spectrum, and defeated them 59-47. On the final day of the tournament, the team was up against Mt. Douglas and this time we were able to hold our lead as we triumphed 52-50.

The senior girls will be right back at it with a home game against GISS this Thursday and then heading off to Mark Isfeld for a tournament the next day.
