Brentwood Tennis Vs. The Dream Team
Last Thursday, a mysterious league game was held at the Brentwood Tennis Courts. It was considered mysterious because we didn’t know who we are playing. All we knew was that we were playing against the Dream Team. Arriving at the tennis court on Thursday, the tennis players were all shocked when they saw the Dream Team: it was consisted of players who are on our parents’ age! Just as we were feeling lucky, Mrs. McLean, our coach, warned us that it would not be an easy game to play. But who knows? The games started quickly after our coach called out our names. Quickly warming up with our opponents, we soon realized that, despite their age, they were good. Would it be a tough game? Starting with excellent serves from the girl’s singles player, Nancy M, Mackenzie ‘17, youth won the first round. The Dream Team then began to fight back as the second round started. We were all feeling exhausted as the scorching hot sun was burning us from the above. We didn’t give up, however. After all, nothing is too difficult for a young Brentonian. And so we won the game, not very easily, but unquestionably. Well done Brentwood! Good luck to us on the Islands next week!
