First 11 Field Hockey Heads to Provincials

26 October 2015Georgia P, Mack ‘16

This weekend was an exciting one for the Senior Girls Field Hockey team: they participated in the Island AA Championship Tournament in Victoria. They played against Glenlyon Norfolk School (GNS) first, ending in a score of 1-1. Bryn Craw, Mack ’16, got the goal. In the second round on Friday, they played against Lambrick Park (in a friendly game because Lambrick only had eight players). We gave them some of our players and enjoyed a fun scrimmage. Even though it was friendly, Brentwood still walked away with a win in their pocket.
This was a successful Friday for the girls. Ready for another game on the Saturday, they played Saint Michaels University School (SMUS) in the morning in a game full of emotions and excitement. Bryn C, stated that they played, “SO well,” but couldn’t walk away with the win. They then had to have a shoot out with GNS which the girls won. Delaney B, Allard ‘16, Sophie F, Allard ‘18 as well as Bryn got their shots in. The girls made it to the Saturday final where they played SMUS again and couldn’t quite make it to the win, but they were still proud of their placement in second. Because of this, the girls are now second on the Island, qualifying them for Provincials.   Congratulations Senior Girls! Georgia P, Mack ‘16
