The Michael Smith Challenge Exam is an example of an academic opportunity available for students who wish to pit their skills against Canada-wide competition. Named after the UBC Nobel Prize winning biochemist, Dr. Michael Smith, this contest emphasizes scientific reasoning and creative problem solving and is based around the Grade 10 Science curriculum. This year we congratulate Shannon M and Nicholas W who finished in the top 25% nationally and Carson H who was among the top 10%.
