Contemporary Indigenous Studies 12
This course satisfies both the Indigenous Studies and the senior Social Studies graduation requirements. This course provides students with exposure to contemporary Indigenous cultures and societies, as well as to historical, political, and social topics. As students navigate the journey toward Truth and Reconciliation, they will seek to develop a sophisticated, informed understanding of the relationship between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Canadians. This course relies on experiential learning and authentic tasks. Students will be required to participate in class discussions, read a novel, do group projects and follow current events.
