Colts Double Oak Bay

It was a humid third term day at Brentwood last Tuesday, a perfect one for rugby. After a disappointing defeat against SMUS the previous week, the Junior Boys Rugby team was determined to win despite the exhausting heat had a successful run against traditional powerhouse team Oak Bay High school. Playing fast-flowing rugby and tough defense, we came out with a victory of 24-12.

Though we had a slow start and almost conceived a try early on, with bone-crunching tackles and good ball movement, Brentwood soon rose to the challenge. Andrew S started up the scoring with an early try deep in the corner. With a long sideline kick by flyhalf Aaron H, Brentwood was seven points up. Other highlights include Reid V with a stunning 50m run to score.

Team Captain Fisher W unleashed his fury by delivering tackles seldom seen outside the Halls of Privett after prep while Keaton A exposed the Oak Bay defense by barging through their line and recent Brentonian fullback, Marc Y, made an impression with his speedy runs.

It was a successful afternoon of rugby and we are looking to continue this momentum in our upcoming game against St. Georges in Vancouver.
