The radiating heat bounces off the clean-cut fields as the rugby, soccer, and tennis players rebound off the sides of the fields and court with terrific third term vibes. Student hopes run high as the build up for midterm is accentuated with every waiting day up to the last break until summer. The wondrous weather and cheerful atmosphere has gotten students looking forward to the next five weeks ahead of them.

For fellow students here at Brentwood, the last week before midterm is for working vigorously during classes and prep, but also for getting fresh spring air in the afternoons. Every student here is shooting for a goal of finishing the year soundly. Therefore, lots of preparation has to be done to complete the assignments that are challenging the hardworking and eager student down.

As the keen students longingly ponder what their five days of freedom have in store for them, teachers, as well as house parents, warn with caution what being on cloud nine can do academically. And so, with a mature mindset, the student body continues to push through the academic work load that can only be due to a lead up to break, and take part in their day-to-day co-curricular activities such as sports and fine arts.

Filling free time, the students shove now unseasonable clothing, such as long pants and thick sweaters, into suitcases as the weather on the Brentwood campus could not be more scenic. Stellar number ones, as well as a spotless house is needed for a happy houseparent and an obstacle-free getaway.

As much as the diligent students adore their Brentwood campus, a change in scenery is needed every once in a while. With parting goodbyes to tests, projects, and their beloved Brentwood community, students excitedly await this approaching midterm.
