Midterm Madness

Midterm Madness

While most Brentwood students spent their last few days of midterm break catching up on their favorite TV shows or some much-needed sleep, a dedicated few made the trip back to campus early. Among these were the top rowers and female rugby players.

With only a few short days before Provincial Championships for the rugby players and Nationals for the rowers, these last practices were all or nothing. Each group of athletes completed five training sessions in a matter of 24 hours. Though this amount of exercise may seem like a lot, these athletes are strong, fit and, most importantly, dedicated.

The rugby girls headed off Tuesday evening for Vancouver to compete while the rowers must stick around for another week of training and head off to St. Catharines, Ontario next Tuesday, May 29th.

Though the five training sessions over midterm break brought the athletes closer together as a unit, they have an entire year of training behind them. Without a doubt, all of the athletes and coaches are prepared to give it their all over the next week. Good luck to all competing athletes!
