Tara Takes Her Sport to A New Level

Thursday was a great day for one of our Grade 12 rowers. Tara C, Allard ‘14 signed her letter of intent to study at and row for the Duke University Blue Devils in Durham, North Carolina. This is a wonderful accomplishment for Tara as her years of rowing and dedication have paid off with a scholarship that reflects her love for the sport and her pursuit of academic excellence. When Tara visited Duke earlier this fall she said that “the school and the team felt like home, just like Brentwood does.” Is there a better reason to sign up for four years? Home is where your heart is and we know that Tara will serve the Duke Rowing programme with the same heart and dedication that she has put in here at Brentwood. It was with great pleasure that Mr. Patel, Mr. Wismer and Mrs. Sage shared in the magical moment with Tara and her mother as she signed the papers to commit to Duke University. We wish her continued success in her final year with Brentwood and many more years to come at Duke.
