10 Things

10 Things

25 November 2013Nicholas W

The following is the text of an address made by Nicholas W, Privett ‘14, Head Prefect, to the school at Assembly on Thursday. With exams a fortnight away, the pressure is being felt and we need to stay positive. Some times we totally forget what we have to look forward to so I’ve compiled a list of 10 things that have come to mind. Here it is: 10 Things We Have to Look Forward To:

Our new second-term sports. I’ve just joined hockey, and realized that I’m as rusty as the skates that I laced up on Tuesday.

The Red Saturday next week. Yahoo!

We can all look forward to my brother Oliver coming to Brentwood for Grade 9 next year. He’s touring today, and I believe he’s here at the moment. Look for him, ladies. He’s blonde and enjoys long walks on the beach.

Mack Open House. I’ll leave it to Rebecca to tell you more, but it’s definitely going to be a great time.

The various house activities that are happening this weekend. Privett is going to a movie, Rogers/Allard are going bowling, and Mack House is cleaning up after their party.

The Christmas Holidays.

The huge number of Christmas parties coming our way.

Having a legitimate excuse to listen to Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas Is You”.

Hearing faculty members sing Christmas carols to while serving eggnog to us after our last exam.

Snowball. Big shout out to my date, the lovely Cindy Z.
